As a DEI and wellness professional, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of mindfulness in the workplace. A standout example of its impact is Aetna's mindfulness program, which has not only boosted productivity by an astonishing $3,000 per employee but also slashed stress levels by 28%. Additionally, this program has led to a remarkable saving of $2,000 per employee in healthcare costs.Aetna's initiative, involving meditation and yoga, has empowered more than a quarter of its 50,000 employees to take short breaks to center themselves, demonstrating the profound benefits of mindfulness practices in reducing stress and enhancing overall employee well-being.At Harmonna Inclusive Wellbeing, LLC, we commend Aetna's efforts and take it a step further. We believe in addressing stress not just mentally but physically, through the body. That's why, alongside mindfulness, we educate on the power of somatic exercises—practices designed to help discharge stress from the body, complementing the mental and emotional benefits of mindfulness.Imagine a workplace where employees are not only equipped with mindfulness tools to navigate stress but also have access to somatic exercises to release it physically. This holistic approach ensures that stress is tackled comprehensively, leading to a healthier, more productive workforce. As organizations continue to recognize the importance of employee wellness, integrating mindfulness and somatic exercises into the workplace culture becomes not just an option but a necessity. Let's transform our workplaces into environments that nurture not just the minds but the bodies of every employee, paving the way for true wellness and productivity. Are you ready to elevate your organization's approach to wellness? Reach out to learn how Harmonna Inclusive Wellbeing, LLC can guide you in integrating mindfulness and somatic exercises into your workplace wellness strategy.#Mindfulness #WorkplaceWellness #SomaticExercises #DEI #Productivity #Harmonna

Reflecting on my journey, I realize that anxiety has been a companion since I was 8, with stress entering the scene even earlier at 6. For years, I navigated through constant stress loops, unaware of their toll on my anxiety levels and my overall capacity to handle stress. It took me a long time to understand that this perpetual state of stress made my heart feel unsafe within my own body, let alone in external environments. But then, a revelation: in as little as 3 minutes, I discovered pathways to not only alleviate stress but also foster resilience and cultivate a more open, loving self. This newfound knowledge led me to ponder how different my experiences in past workplaces might have been if I had these tools at my disposal—would I have merely survived, or truly thrived? It's now my mission to share these insights with others. For anyone feeling burnt out, stressed, and overwhelmed, I want you to know: while we may not have the power to change the world around us, we do possess the ability to shift our body's nervous state. This shift empowers us to persist and make powerful choices for our future.I'm excited to announce that Pauline Romas and I will be hosting a 4-part series starting April 26th, dedicated to sharing science-backed strategies to overcome burnout and thrive in the workplace. If you're ready to transform your approach to stress and discover a path to thriving, join us. Your journey to empowerment starts here.#StressManagement #BurnoutRecovery #WorkplaceWellness #ThrivingNotSurviving

A recent study in the Brain, Behavior, and Immunity journal casts a revealing light on the profound effects of financial stress, pinpointing it as the most detrimental type of stress to our biological health. This research underscores an often overlooked dimension of wellness, especially in the workplace, where the echoes of financial instability can deeply impact both productivity and overall well-being.In today’s fast-evolving landscape, innovative digital tools offer support for addressing these challenges head-on. From platforms like Ayco by Goldman Sachs and FinFit, which democratize access to personalized financial advice and education, to financial literacy apps such as Zogo and Enrich that make learning financial skills engaging and accessible. The emergence of Earned Wage Access (EWA) software and emergency savings platforms presents new pathways for employees to navigate financial hurdles with greater ease and security, fostering a sense of empowerment amidst uncertainty. At Harmonna Inclusive Wellbeing, LLC, we recognize that while these tools provide invaluable support, they represent just one piece of the puzzle in managing various types of workplace stress. Our focus is on cultivating nervous system resilience as a foundational aspect of wellness, acknowledging that a regulated nervous system enhances our capacity to navigate stressors, including financial ones. However, we also acknowledge the complexity of stress—there are systemic barriers and external factors at play that no single solution can address. By promoting nervous system regulation techniques alongside a comprehensive understanding of financial wellness, we aim to empower individuals and organizations to create a more supportive, productive environment. Harmonna is dedicated to fostering a world where stress is not just managed but transformed into an opportunity for growth and resilience.#FinancialWellness #NervousSystemHealth #WorkplaceWellness #Harmonna

In recent discussions, I've encountered a powerful sentiment: self-care is not a panacea for systemic issues. I wholeheartedly concur. Self-care transcends being a mere solution to problems external to us—it embodies a profound mindset. It's about adopting a lifestyle that puts well-being at the forefront of every decision, from our dietary choices to our social circles, communication styles, and how we process experiences. This commitment to self enables us to navigate life's complexities with increased resilience and awareness, allowing us to proactively address potential stressors before they escalate. However, it's vital to recognize that self-care alone cannot dismantle harmful systems that challenge us daily. While some individuals may find the concept of self-care out of reach due to their circ*mstances, it's essential to understand that self-care practices vary widely across cultures—from box breathing and prayer to meditation and dance. These practices aren't mere solutions; they are acts of perseverance and resilience that soothe the nervous system and foster hope in the face of adversity. Because a life without play and hope is a slow death.Enter Harmonna Inclusive Wellbeing, LLC. Our mission is to support DEI initiatives by focusing on nervous system regulation and awareness. Understanding how to remain present and receptive during difficult conversations is crucial for making meaningful progress in DEI. Harmonna is dedicated to deepening interpersonal connections within teams, recognizing that technical skills alone cannot replace the value of genuine, human interactions. We believe in the transformative power of play, where fear dissipates, and genuine connection flourishes. At Harmonna, we view self-care not as an end but as a vital component that enhances our ability to engage with and address broader societal challenges. By fostering an environment of understanding, resilience, and openness, we support individuals and organizations in their journey toward a more inclusive and harmonious world.#DEI #nervoussystemregulation #selfcare #DEIisnotDEAD #inclusionandbelonging
